A safe workflow for videos you own

YourVideoTool does not fetch videos from a YouTube URL. Open YouTube Studio, download one of your own uploads, then return here and select the downloaded MP4. The file stays on your device while you preview, trim, reframe, remove silence and export.

YouTube Studio to local editing

  1. In YouTube Studio, open Content and use the Download action for a video you own.
  2. Return to this page and choose Select downloaded video.
  3. Review the whole preview before editing. YouTube says Studio downloads are MP4 files in 720p or 360p depending on video size.
  4. Trim the timeline, choose Shorts 9:16 if needed, and review silence cuts before export.
  5. Export the MP4 and play the downloaded result to verify picture, audio sync and crop.

Import several videos with Google Takeout

Google Takeout can export all videos you uploaded. Extract the downloaded archive first, choose multiple video files in the import dialog, then edit the first file. The remaining files stay in a temporary browser queue; nothing is uploaded, and the queue disappears when the page is closed.

Only download and edit videos you own or are authorized to use. This workflow does not bypass YouTube download restrictions.
